The Almond Board of California’s (ABC) Staff Appreciation Recognition (STAR) Day is an annual celebration of milestones, special accomplishments, and staff anniversaries, officiated by ABC President and CEO Richard Waycott.
This year’s theme was country western and it was hosted at the family barn of Laura Gutierrez, ABC Senior Industry Analyst, in – of course – an almond orchard! We held our annual hula hoop contest – which was fun and super competitive. Congratulations to Murielle Kim for going home with the trophy!
We also had some spirited games of cornhole, Jenga, and Connect Four.
This year’s STAR Day was hosted during ABC’s annual Global Marketing Committee Meeting so team members from all over the world – including China, South Korea, UK, and more – could be in attendance.
At the event, Dariela Roffe-Rackind, Director, Europe and Global Public Relations, was honored for her ten years of service with ABC, and Danielle Veenstra, Manager, Reputation Management and Sustainability Communications. was honored for her more than five years of service at ABC.
