Connie Calhoun is the director, human resources and organizational development for the Almond Board of California where she heads up the people processes and strategies, including total rewards, recruiting, staff relations, performance development and legal compliance.

Connie holds a Senior Professional of Human Resources certification and prior to joining ABC she spent more than 20 years leading human resources teams in both the private and public sectors. 

She has successfully started HR departments from the ground up at multiple organizations and led the global expansion at one of those companies as they made the Inc 500’s list of fastest growing companies on two consecutive years. She greatly enjoys the challenge of servicing such a diverse workforce and helping each person achieve their full potential while driving the organization forward. 

Connie is a native of Michigan now living in the Central Valley. In her spare time, she enjoys glamping in Northern California and trying her hand at home renovations.
