Danielle Veenstra is the senior manager for global stewardship and impact for the Almond Board of California, leading ABC’s global stewardship programs and communication. This work educates consumers around the world about the California almond industry’s commitment to responsible farming and stewardship.

Danielle is a third-generation almond farmer and knows firsthand what it takes to grow almonds. She combines that understanding and her deep roots in agriculture with a background in science that includes degrees in natural resource management and geography. Her range of experience allows her to play an important role as an ambassador and spokesperson for the California almond industry and as a subject expert on all things farming and sustainability. At the Almond Board, Danielle serves as the bridge between ABC’s agronomic and environmental research team and external audiences, with particular attention to water, zero waste, pollinators and climate change

Danielle spends her free time doing odd jobs around the farm, gardening and enjoying California’s natural spaces by paddleboard, kayak or with her trusty hiking boots.
