FAQs on CEUs at The Almond Conference

The Almond Conference will once again offer both Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and Department of Pesticide Regulations (DPR) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to attendees.

CEUs at TACThe Almond Conference will once again offer both Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) and Department of Pesticide Regulations (DPR) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to attendees. For the 2019 event, held Dec. 10-12 at Cal Expo, attendees will have an opportunity to receive 18 CCA credits and 3.5 DPR credits.

Check out this list of FAQs to learn how you can earn CEUs at The Almond Conference 2019:

  • Do I need to earn CEU credits?
    • CEUs much be earned by the following:
      • Growers with their Private Applicator Certificate
      • Pest Control Advisors (PCAs)
      • Qualified Applicator License (QAL)
      • Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC)
      • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA)
  • Where do I go at The Almond Conference to check in to receive credits?
    • Please check in at the CEU kiosk in the Registration Booth at the start and end of each day. Be sure to bring your CCA or DPR identification number with you.
  • What are the CEU kiosk hours?
    • Tuesday: 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
    • Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
    • Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Where are the CEU sign-in sheets for the conference sessions?
    • Sign-in sheets are in the back of each session room.
  • Will verification forms be provided for CCA CEUs?
    • You are responsible for signing in and out of the sessions you attend – no verification forms will be provided
  • Where can I pick up my scantron for DPR CEUs?
    • DPR scantrons can be found at the CEU kiosk and should be picked up before the first session of the day (on Wed., Dec. 11). It is your responsibility to complete and turn in your scantron at the end of the day to the CEU kiosk. If you need to leave a session early, you must sign out at the back of the room to adjust your hours. If you do not sign in or out at each of the sessions you attend, you will not get credit. 
    • There will be three different scantrons, one for each session offering DPR credits, at the CEU kiosk. At the end of the day, or once you’re done attending session, you need to return your scantron to the CEU kiosk or place it at the back of the session room – this is in addition to signing in and out of each session you attend.
    • Once you turn in your scantron at the CEU kiosk, you will receive a verification form.
