Chinese Industry Delegation to Visit California

4/11/2019

This May, a delegation organized by the Specialized Committee for Nuts and Roasted Seeds of China National Food Industry Association (CNSA) will make a stop in California on their way to the INC World Nut and Dried Fruit Congress in Florida. The delegation consists of more than 20 Chinese importers, processors and brands, and the Almond Board of California (ABC) invites all almond handlers and industry members to attend a breakfast on Tuesday, May 21, to meet with the delegation.

CNSA
CNSA and Almond Board leadership signed a Memorandum of Understanding during a ceremony in April 2018.

Over the years, the Almond Board worked hard to establish a long-term relationship with CNSA, actively exchanging market insights, industry updates, technical know-how and marketing resources. In 2018, the Almond Board and CNSA signed a Memorandum of Understanding to further co-promote the market development of nuts and California almonds in China. Patrick Xiao, the Almond Board’s Regional Director in China, stated, “The Memo marked a new era of collaboration. It has helped to further create a beneficial industrial environment for the development of California almonds and to enhance and expand friendly communications between the nut and seed food enterprises, industries and associations in both countries.”

The ABC-hosted breakfast for handlers and industry members will be held at the Almond Board offices in Modesto on the morning of May 21. Please RSVP to Harbinder Maan, ABC’s Associate Director of Trade Marketing and Stewardship, at HMaan@AlmondBoard.com for more details about this event.
