Following The Almond Conference (TAC) 2018, the City of Sacramento will begin a large-scale remodel and expansion of the Sacramento Convention Center. The remodel will significantly update the facility and provide much needed improvements, offering TAC a truly state-of-the-art venue for future conferences.
The Convention Center has been home to The Almond Conference since 2012. However, to undertake this remodel effort, Sacramento has announced that it will close the Convention Center for at least one year, requiring The Almond Conference to move venues for 2019, and possibly 2020.
In anticipation of this change, the Almond Board of California (ABC) and its conference management team reviewed more than a dozen options of substitute locations for 2019, and potentially 2020.
After completing the search, ABC is pleased to announce it has secured Sacramento’s Cal Expo for The Almond Conference 2019, which will take place December 10–12.
Cal Expo, a site which also hosts the California State Fair, will provide ample space, facilities and parking for TAC attendees and exhibitors. The Almond Board is confident that while the 2019 show will have a slightly different look and feel, the quality of exhibits, presentations and networking opportunities will be second to none for conference guests and the California almond industry.
